Looking for OM Roof Bars for my W124 Coupe

Hi All

I'm searching for a set of roof bars for my W124 Coupe, the ones that would attach using the in roof thread holes.

Through searches I've seen they exist, but don't know whether they are still available anywhere in the UK / or if someone may be selling a set.

Really appreciate any insight here.

I sold my set to to Charles Morgan for his coupe which he's now sold on.

Maybe he kept hold of the roof bars... and will want to part with them.

Thanks for the PM Spike. I do have them, but they are with the Coupe which Nick Froome is selling for me and I will check in with him. I'll reply to Spike's PM with my email details. I am going to be overseas though for 10 days imminently though, so I am grateful for the forbearance.

Charles - the bars are showing in the boot of "your" coupe on Nick's website. I suspect he is selling them with the car.

MB still sell these at £150 ish (I think)

I got a set from German ebay for about £45 including postage. I would have happily bought new had a forum member not steered me in the direction of the ebay ad.

Didn't konw they where still availabe through Mercedes either, not much info about them online.

I don't think they are still available from MB. In fact almost all accessories are now OOS.

You got very lucky with the ebay purchase (It may even have been me that pointed you at it)

MB Croydon happily quoted me a set and reckoned they could get them within a few days. This was over a year ago though and perhaps if I'd followed up the order etc..

Perhaps the OP could give his local dealer a call and report back.

Yes, but I wonder if this would have been the OEM roofbars or some generic universal type.

Thule still sell one for the W124CE but it doesn't have original fitting arrangement. I suspect that this is what Mercedes would provide now.
