Hi guys,

I would like to buy an exhaust system for my 2004 W220 S500.

I found a Lorinser exhaust system on ebay which sells at a very good price.

However it is for the S55 model. I am aware that the pipe dimension of the S55 is bigger than that of the S500.

What do you guys think? Will it fit an S500 with no issues?

Will a wider pipe affect the performance on an S500? Will it reduce or increase exhaust velocity and back pressure?

Thanks a lot

With a 5.0 V8 you don't need to worry too much about a small increase in pipe diameter.

Have you got the exact diameter of both pipes?

So I made a move and I bought a Lorinser exhaust made especially for the S320-S500 models.

Quite expensive but they are brand new.

I will upload photos and video clip once I get them installed.

Does anyone have experience with Lorinser exhaust? How do they sound like?

Thanks!

The Lorinser exhausts arrived today :thumb:

Good evening everyone,

Pictures as promised :thumb:

Its the first time I buy performance mufflers from Lorinser. So, I would appreciate if anyone could help me.

Actually, I expected Lorinser quality control to be very good. However, I noticed that the chrome tips (as shown in the last picture) are not like each other. One is more curbed than the other one.

I also noticed that one of the muffler's pipe sits higher than the other muffler's pipe (as shown in the second picture). I mean the pipe which connects with the tips.

I tried to have an overview of how the mufflers will look when the tips are attached. As shown in pictures 1,4 and 5.

So, what do you think guys? Would you request a return ?:dk:

Cheers :thumb:
