lubricating rubber seals

I would go with Simon, used it for the last 2 years on all the rubber seals on my SL55, and my Wife's Audi TT droptop. And both been fine.

WD-40 has been mentioned as a lubricant for rubber.

Well, you know those rubber hand grips on bicycles? - WD-40 dissolves them, turns them into a sticky mess.

WD-40 is a de-watering fluid not a lubricant, it is for throwing into the turbines of naval jets as they spool down, to remove sea water from the engines. WD-40 is not a lubricant, it can remove oils and greases that are supposed to be there.
