Lucas Transmission Fix

Hi all,

Anyone heard of Lucas Transmission Fix, allegedly the 'trade's best kept secret' for curing 'slipping, noise and leaks' in autoboxes which apparently 'rejeuvenates worn bands by coating the bands with a polymetric film'? (No dictionary I can find has ever heard of the word 'polymetric' though.)

Lots of these magical fluids are around, all use pseudo science in the adverts and claim they use "friction modifiers" Some "work" by increasing heat transfer so you may get a temporary improvement but if your gearbox is worn then only a mechanical rebuild is ever going to fix it.
