luggage cover and net for c class estate

Hi,
New MB owner and forum member looking for advice/help. First use of luggage net on my C220 estate has resulted in a problem. The net fails to extend to its full length but also does not now retract fully. Any ideas?

I didn't even know it had a 'full length' (I do now, I just looked at the on-line manual).
Is the car new (or just new to you)? Can's suggest anything more helpful than a trip to the dealer.

Thanks Rory, I guess that I will have to. The car is 3 years old and I have just bought it, an ex fleet car but it doesn't look like the luggage net was used much. Where is the on line manual?
