Just a quick note to say I used these people to fix a puncture the other day for £10 and whilst it is a very small workshop the people there seem to know what they are doing. They repaired a hole that the Kwik-Fit people would not touch because it was debatable as to whether or not it was in the shoulder area where it is difficult to get a good seal because the patch cannot be 100% flat inside the tire. Well they did a really good job and "saved" an almost new continental 245/40/R17 sport contact 2 tire. I've driven around now for 48 hours and the repair has held 100% - no excessive speeds. There is a tire hanging outside as a sign so you can't miss it.

Just to add that karl from LV tires called me up and quoted me £140 for a new tire as in the post above even though he knew I might not need it if the repair held. A simple request and call back has restored my faith in service. Now given that 4 years ago I replaced all 4 tires for £520 using a mobile service for 2xR17/245/40 and 2xR17/225/45 , then around £560 for a set today seems not a bad price.
