M156 camshafts (and adjusters)

Hello all
When replacing camshafts (and adjusters) is there an alternative camshaft to those purchased from the dealer? If there is an alternative can someone point me in the right direction.
Also, do people tend to replace with new adjusters or just repair with the plates?

Thanks - had already seen that video - didn't really answer my question on sourcing camshafts though, but appreciate the input.

We have used these in the past, and similar for m157 as they are on backorder with mb.

Not used an aftermarket camshaft itself but there may be some out there from the usual (Newman etc)
