I need to replace my MAF for my 01 W208 CLK 230K. An online MAF shop in Germany currently has 3 different brands which are suitable :
1) VDO-Siemens (which I currently have) for Euro 210
2) Bosch for Euro 160
3) Lowe Automobil for Euro 100

All of them are deemed suitable by manufacturers.
Does anyone here know why such a big price difference ?
Quality difference ?

Thanks

I would go Bosch. Make sure its genuine and you cant go wrong. And its cheaper than the VDO-Siemens one. Most of the 230K genuine MB MAF's i have seen are Bosch as well.

Another point in favour for Bosch is that you can buy Pierburg inserts for them.
Are all these Pierburg inserts universal ? Meaning the resistance is the same for whatever model Mercedes they're put into, just the housing size is different ?

Has anyone used Lowe Automobil MAFs incidentally ? Can't seem to see any reviews on a google search.

I had a look at the Pierburg inserts quite a while back and i found out that they are not suitable for all MB MAF's. You can buy one a fit it but im told it will not work the same as a specific one for you car. When i was looking i was informed that these inserts were available/suitable for certain engines but not the 230K.
