Hi All
2001 W210 E220cdi
A while ago i had a faulty MAF sensor on my above car and had been driving it with the sensor unplugged.
Last weekend I bought a new one from GSF and fitted it to the car and for a few minutes the car seemed more responsive and better than with it unpluged.
The car then seemed to idle funny and then whilst driving stalled. Itried to restart the car and it would not start. I unplugged the new sensor and again the car started first time and has driven fine since albeit that it is still on default settings.
I have the following questions;
1. Does it make a difference what way up/down I fit the new sensor
2. Does the previous faults need to be delete from the ECU with Star inorder to allow the engine to run properly with the new sensor
3. Failingt the above, what may have caused the problem with the ne sensor
thanks
Chris
