Main beam will flash but not stay on

Been away for a few years but have another MB now so i'm back.

Picked up a very tidy E350 coupe at a reasonable price. However, couple of issues so i would be grateful if someone could tell me where best to post them?

Would like some help with:

• the passenger windscreen wiper which only works sporadically
• main beam comes on when i flash but not when i push the lever forward

Guessing the second point is electrical but not sure about the wiper issue; although both could be electrical as the passenger wiper does work...just not all the time.

I'm retired and don't want/have the money to put it into a dealership to have problems rectified so i would be grateful for any guidance.

Could the car have auto lights in which the main beam only activates at a certain speed? Try switching to manual dipped lights then try the main beam switch. Ignore me if you've tried this already.

Feel a bit stupid now LOL. I had the lights on Auto so just changed them to "on" and the problem is solved.

Possibly a loose linkage bolt?

Stuff like this is only simple when you know the answer/ we’ve all done something similar. Enjoy your new car

Wipers - deffo check the linkage arms. Take scuttle cover off, and they should be accessible
