MB badge sensor wiring

Wow, what an advantage of me driving an almost 20 year old car - my 'distance' sensors are supplemented by SpecSaver and are relatively cheap to replace should I ever lose them

anyone know why they switch off all the time ?, i have had a few now and all knock themselves off for no apparent reason

Do they? I would have thought the radar stays on when distronic is engaged, and it's off when it's not... but I suppose it needs to be on for the collision avoidance stuff?

Recenlty had my front badge and sensor stolen off A Class 180, have got replacements but no indication of correct wiring to six pin plug as they cut the wire and I cannot find anywhere - first post so hopefully someone has fixed a similar issue - MB garage quoted over £1000 to replace with work

Just wondered if you managed to find the answer to this? Hit a Deer tonight, it only damaged my front badge but snapped the wiring off the sensor behind. Also could you advise where you got your replacements from as also snapped the clips off the badge? Cheers

Got wiring and plug off eBay - have a spare.

I did not need clips but I sure you can get off eBay

Since MB dealer changed eight connectors within the wiring loom (I suspect details are in a dealer info briefing that only they see) then the collision warning amber light no longer is triggered when driving normally. I guess any suspicious members out there could suspect MB have simply disabled it - I will only know when I hit the first brick wall!
