hi i have a problem. my 190e(w201) 1989 2.0 87kw with automatic transmission doesent shift from 3rd to 4th gear. it starts from stop with 2nd gear as it should, changes in 3rd and thats it. i have disconnected kick down switch and the cable under bonnet, but nothing.
This problem accured after engine swap, i also changed filter and oil in tranny.
what could be the problem, could it be torque converter, oilpump or is ti inside gearbox??

Hi Rasmus,
Just a thought, if you had the gear seelector disconnected for the engine swap, perhaps the adjustment was thrown out on re-connection and the box is not actually going into "D" but is selecting "3" which would prevent it going into fourth.
