Oh so it's actual track training? I assumed it was just to "Experience the unbelievable acceleration, unique handling and jaw dropping sound and power of a high-performance Mercedes-AMG engine", like; I do that every day so it didn't make sense. But if it includes tuition then it's probably worth it.

I did there AMG GTS day with an hour in a C63, E63 then the GTS covering the high speed track, skid pans, launch track and wet donut where you can try and learn how to drift them. Fantastic instructor and an amazing day to learn how to handle these amazing machines properly and without messing your car up when it goes wrong lol

Put me down please I'm 80% to be there as just recovering from an operation but hoping another month on will mean I can make the trip down from Oxfordshire.

Picked my C43 up from there, it’s s cracking place. Didn’t qualify for the driving experience because ‘only’ bought a C43, was told it had to be A45 or above. Sales guy tried to sort out a discount but nothing materialised. Sad times. The drive home was most eventful though.

That’s ridiculous.

Like an A45 is a proper AMG

I'm still not sure why AMG owners would want an AMG driving experience.

Actually, when I first got mine, my mum got me one of those red letter day AMG driving experience.

It was nice to see what they were capable of as an introduction to my purchase.
Plus it was a lot better to be able to test the limits of someone else’s AMG rather than abuse mine

It is worth every penny, I've done countless track days and had tuition from an up and coming GT3 guy many years ago. But the MB World driving sessions are really good, as I mentioned they are all members of the Silver Arrows display team (say no more) and if you are able to 1. get the same car as you own for the session and 2. it is pouring with rain.
I spent a good three solid hours thrashing the life out of a 5.5 turbo SL63 in truly torrential rain and thanks to the expert instruction came away with a far greater understanding of me and the car's abilities. I read somewhere that the tracks were designed by MIRA to replicate a short very twisty A road on one circuit, then a higher speed slightly less twisty A road on the other.
I paid about £400 for the four hour session, which when you take into account tyres and fuel you probably get expert one to one tuition free of charge.

I had mine which came with the car last week. Really good, one to one as was said nearly all in the car and nearly all with you driving. Tailored to exactly what you want. Allows you to explore what the car is capable of in relative safety and using someone else's car wheels and fuel. " 2 sessions 1st session Drag strip for launches, emergency braking, emergency evasion under braking targeted emergency braking, slalom, the repeated on wet straight. Followed by the 2 handling circuits and finally the wet oval Session 2 was literally all what do want to do more of. You get a "Report card at the end and only the gentlest of hints to sell more advanced training. They say the whole AMG academy thing is marketing and run at cost so it does seem relatively cheap given what you get.

A while back I won Mercedes Hospitality at Silverstone which clashed with my wedding; I was gutted but it was easy to find someone to step in at the last minute.

It worked out OK in the end .. they are still together and have 2 kids now.
