Ever since picking my car up at Brooklands yesterday, I've been chuckling to myself over the effort they put into the handover.

I was taken through to the handover section, expecting to see the car on a forecourt somewhere. But no, it was in a special room, draped in a silver blanket. I just couldn't help laughing as the handover host swept off the blanket with a flourish.

But regardless, they're a great bunch of guys and are deserving of the full marks that I'll give them on the feedback survey.

I'd more than recommend anyone traveling the extra distance to get the better customer service.

I agree, had the same treatment with my little smart car at brooklands. The car under wraps next to mine was Jenson Buttons

Ever since Yates at Hampton closed and MB in Hersham turned into a VW agent, MB at Brooklands is my nearest dealership. Having to go there for parts is now a very sharp double edged sword. Parts come in at MB prices, but the pain is offset by the sights and sounds of those AMGs being put through their paces on the track

The only trouble is trips there take so much longer...........
