There are no 'bad' cars in the premium exec. estate class

It the last few years I have had 2 x E class estates, BMW 5 series and Audi A6's.
It just depends what is important about a car to you

How the car looks is a purely personal thing, so can't help there!
The Mercs have the most room inside, but I rarely got close to maximum capacity.
I did upgrade the E class to a V6 model because the 4 pot was a bit too 'taxi' sounding...
The 5 series was really good, but the fuel consumption meter lied like a cheap watch

..but it was my wife who found the seats were not comfortable for her so that had to go...:roll eyes:
I had a an A6 in 2013 which was not as good as I thought it should be, competent, just not great, but then a got an A6 Ultra avant in late 2014 and that was one of the best cars I have ever had.
Unchanged on the outside from the previous year (give or take exhaust trims) but it had a new engine, 8 speed auto 'box and revised electronics and drove like a completely different car

The fuel meter didn't lie, and it really would do what you see below
Test drive them and see what you think

My experience would pull me towards the Audi A6...but that is just a personal choice and goes against what the 'knowledgable' press say
