Hi everyone

Was looking around forum the other day and saw a lot of good reports about a guy in kirkham. Does anybody have his contact details ? I Can't seem to find them on the site now.

I have the engine management light on and need it fixing. Alternatively can anyone recommend a good merc mechanic in the Liverpool area.

Many thanks.

Welcome aboard :thumb:

Until recently it was called 124Works, now it's TM Servicing Ltd.

Ian is well respected on here and is by all accounts open to bribery with Hob Nobs.

I can recommend TMServicing, as it's now called. Alternatively, If I still lived in Merseyside, I'd always use S&R Motors at Formby. :thumb:

Where are you based in the country? 124works or TMS as it is soon to be called might be a trek for you depending on where you are and you may find someone closer. If however, you fancy dropping in, then Ian does good work.

Thanks guys. I'm based in maghull and penwortham. So just want a desent mechanic who's not going to charge me a fortune.

Only problem is I need car all week so can only get it fixed at weekends..

Cheers.

Thanks everyone went to S&R today and there going to fix a split airflow pipe for me.

No he is not Merc trained however that has not stopped me taking our vehicles there for the last 5 years. He has also let me use his facility to do a head gasket on an M104 engine. That was done in a day as we happened to have a spare head which had been skimmed in advance.

Perhaps most tellingly I was happy to have Ian build me a new M104 engine from the bottom up and then bolt on a twin turbo rig. This has worked perfectly since it was installed. Merc trained guys can still just be parts changers whilst non-Merc trained guys can still know what they are doing. I know whom I am happy with.:)

Spelling rings a bell...

I thought that...but on checking other posts...no evidence.

Edit::doh: Gaz, short for....should have used my loaf!

Of course...wonder what the Mexican theme is all about.
A Bandit, just heard a story from a customer about his shady deals with an SL soft top. I fixed it for about £200 he was going to charge £500 per side plus labour. I hate these kippers (2 faced and spineless). He could at least fess up to his beliefs. Well in with 2 ex forum members, one of which took me to court and lost
