Mercedes-Benz to upgrade maps on COMAND system for free
June 2nd, 2010
Mercedes-Benz vehicle drivers are to benefit from the added perk of seeing their COMAND APS multimedia systems updated at no extra cost for the next three years.
Motorists in 39 countries, including Great Britain, are to receive the latest map updates free of charge, which will provide them with a navigation system taking in a number of European destinations.
All motorists have to do is visit a Mercedes-Benz workshop to profit from the update and they will be advised that one is available through the manufacturer’s web pages.
The system is available in vehicles including the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Saloon and has many other benefits alongside the high-grade navigation function.
These include a DVD player for both audio and visual, the ability to hold approximately 1,000 compressed music files and the reading out of traffic reports referring to a chosen travelling route.
Meanwhile, the update is also available to a new owner if a vehicle is sold during the three-year period.
Furthermore, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Saloon provides motorists with a ride quality that is second to none, thanks to adaptive shock absorbers adjusting the level of damping to match the road conditions
