When I first Googled for a Mercedes forum, MB Club and MercedesClub were the first two that I came across.

I suspect many others would have came across the same. Do you guys know what's the main difference between these two forums?

Thanks.

If you refer to this one as the MB club, then that is simple. This one is the better by far, than any other MB related club, regardless of name. :thumb:

Many, like me, frequent both, as there are times when one or other will provide answers before the other, either through a post or via the search facilities.

MB Club has a member called Ted who is handsome, debonair, witty, and a fount of knowledge for all things Mercedes.
So MB Club is clearly the better forum.

Ted's account has been hacked :)

I frequent both.

I find this one more dynamic (it's about a 1/3rd larger) MBOF more laid back.

Both have some great people on, keen to help/advice/socialise.

The idiot count on both is very low, which is nice :thumb:.

I try to avoid the other forum as the moderation team are out of control, apart from the odd one or two, so it's not a particularly nice place to be. Some of the members have a very tight clique with the moderators and this leads to bullying and antagonising of some members.

The Mercedes-Benz Owners forum is an open forum which is run by Home - Mercedes Benz Owners This is a club for the owners of Mercedes cars. It is run by a publishing/marketing company who used to produce the official magazine " the Gazette"for the only UK Mercedes Club officially recognised by Mercedes themselves. namely The Mercedes-Benz Club Official Mercedes-Benz Owners Club It too has a forum but its open only to club members so won't normally come up in any search engine. They are essentially rival organisations with any references to the "official club" usually being removed from the Mercedes Benz owners forum- as I said they have "history"
This forum MBClub.co.uk is probably the only open UK "stand alone" type forum.

As has been said they all provide a source of discussion and useful assistance for Mercedes cars as do many of the USA and German based forums. Some are arranged on a model by model basis e.g. Mercedes-Benz Forum

The more the merrier I say.:thumb:

as nice as it is having two separate forums for discussion + advice + all things MB, IMO it will be easier for members to follow or log into just one, so they can be sure they can access all available posts/info.

it seems like both forums have very strong presence which means i'll have to keep following both of them, for the time being (at least).

thanks!

They got rid of Television & most of his claque left in a huff so that's all history.

I am a fairly new member and I enjoy visiting both forums but I do think they are to very different places. I Like both. Its good to have such a wide audience with different views.

Slight hyperbole there I think

I frequent both, have been a member in here longer than the other but have posted more often in the other.....not sure what that says.....but I am a supporter of both...

We can all live together as one big MB family :bannana:

Cheers

Similar to the above really. I enjoy both, but feel more comfortable posting on the other one.

Sounds like PistonHeads.

I think some people take online forums far too seriously - just dip and out as you feel. I've no idea why people get into heavy duty arguments in a virtual world.

This type of thread always reminds me of the Judean People's Front and the People's Front of Judea.
