Ford focus estate turbo diesel 51 plate
Is it round about the time for major service ? I never had Merc so I'm just asking all you fellow Merc ppl. I ain't bought it yet I'm just asking. It's been garaged an had mb service 4 stamps I think.

Serving is basically alternate... Minor, Major, Minor, Major etc.

Every 2- 3 years do brake fluid, coolant and diff oil.

At that mileage I would consider transmission service... may have been done but worth checking, we recommend every 40K.

Mercedes E320 04 year 41k miles, 1 owner, mb service history 4 stamps think, been garaged. What would you pay for it please....! I'm new to mercedes never had 1 always want 1. I have ford focus turbo diesel estate 51 year 162 k looked after myself with regular oil change an when bought it it's got 4 stamps from ford. I don't want to buy a bank loan on wheels. So just asking fellow Merc ppl.

In my opinion (and the usual line). Buy on condition.

You can never really say a car is worth £x because it is a certain year and has x mileage.

Look over it carefully. Check shut lines etc for damage.

Do you look after your own car? So you know about "how it works"?

See if you can get it to your local garage for a full check.

It could be a great buy. Or a very good buy if you spend £x. Or a shed!!!!!!

Thanks

Anyways ... The car in your pics is on the same 17" wheels on mine when purchased. These had a miss match of cheap tyres!! That is part reason for road noise and not the best ride. As I said I swopped for 18" staggered and new tyres (Toyo's .. really like them!). But pick your own brand.

Sell the wheels you have on ebay. I think I got £330 -ish. if the ride isn't what you want.

Looks like a nice collection of extras on it. MAKE SURE THEY ALL WORK!

Or go up to 19" wheels for a different ride. Lots of threads about wheels, tyres, ride!

Look in ebay/autotrader for comparable cars to haggle a price.

Expect to pay "a few quid" to get it perfect as that always seems to be the case when buying a car! Well that always happens to me!

I ain't got clue how the extras will work. Apart from cruise control on the stick I think. I'm a Merc virgin, 40 years old man just want a reliable nice to drive car with a bit of poke, been told by few ppl once a Merc always a Merc.
I did have a Merc motorhome 1995 year that was 2.9 Ltr I think. Merc 312 d was lovely to drive that was manual. 58 k on clock I never used it so sold.

Well you'll certainly get used to that! ...... Hmmm ... The thing with extras is they can go wrong or stop working so if you have a fault with an electric seat (as an example) you get a warning light. Guess you could ignore it/unpug it .. probably not!

Or go for a base model with no extras that can't go wrong if that makes sense?

As an example a rear view mirror that reacts to headlights shining on it and dims is something I love. Also fr me (long story) electric memory seats were a must!!

Each to there own...........................
