I have a ML 320 CDI W164 Sports and I realy like wooden steering wheels.

I need your advise as to should I upgrade to wooden wheel or not as my interior has aluminum and carbon fiber.

I managed to get hold of a brand new walnut wood wheel so don't if I should change it or keep the original or sell the wheel.

Keep it as it is! never really got the wooden thing in modern cars....?

Keep it leather.

I have a wooden wheel in my S500 but also have all the ancillary wooden trim to match.

It will stick out like a sore thumb in your ML. An ebony wood would have been nice though ........

It won't look "Barry" but it would look "odd" and out of place in your cabin. If its looking for a good home tho.............

I think as lomg as it matches the rest of the trim then yes, as you have alloy and carbon trim them it should look ok?

Can you try and google interior shots to see if there any?

The wood wheel is really nice and I prefer it to the original but as others have said if it doesn't match your existing trim then I'd sell it.

Alternatively, change over the trim too so it matches. Or sure go for a similar wheel with carbon instead of wood provided its real carbon and matches what you have already.

Leaving aside if you do or don't like the way it looks, the main issue for me with a wooden wheel is the change of feel as you 'work' the wheel.
The change from warm tactile leather to cold shiny wood through your hands just feels all wrong to me. But each to thier own!:dk:
