Mercedes Service Plan

I wouldn't rely on this either.
Mine's coming up to 5th year service and now I am told that it will only be 58 months old (12 months since the last service) so although I have done sufficient mileage for ATF change, it will not be done because it is not 60 months old. They propose I renew my service subscription for another year. However, by next year, they cannot guarantee that the mileage interval will not be changed to 75000 miles so I will not have done enough miles and then perhaps next year they will propose that I renew my service agreement for another year ..... you get the idea.
mercedes policy is "whichever comes first" and it was confirmed to me today by lady from aftersale department. same situation with me, where ill be doing 6-8k miles max a year but need to go for service every 12 months (+/- couple of weeks apparently no difference)

one word of warning make sure if you do have a service plan and then start another one that the dealership boots the service on the correct plan. I had problems with this a couple of years ago and was a complete pain in the bum to sort. It was only when i sent all my paperwork for my services and the plans i bought to MB that is got sorted.

One thing you do get with a service plan is if anything is recommend on that service eg brake fluid change etc its done with your service at no extra cost. Im in the same boat mine now just coming up to 112000m b service and that's my last one on my current service plan, now as my cars 7yrs old is it worth keep going with it??? i also have the teir 1 extended warranty and not sure if its worth keeping that also

What car you have paul?
Like you say, it can be cheaper done elsewhere, but there are also benefits with dealer. Extended warranty.. Well, another story. I don't have one with my 4 years old car, finger crossed

C350 CDI and its now 7.5years old lol

+ Service with Mercedes and you get/maintain your Mercedes Assist Coverage....

i was thinking about it all day at work and figured out the best option.
im going to sign for service plan with mercedes, but 2 years contract for 2 services, still same price £38/month. this way im going to get done next year service A +gearbox service, and year after service B. year 3 i just will pay for service A on its own, as there shouldnt be any extras with it. and from next year.. i sigh for 3 years contract (B A B).
looks like best financial option and ill keep Mobilo with car :P

I take it all back. I had the same experience. When I first called them up on booking the service, they ran it through their system and said it was not due. On the day of the service, they ran it again and it came up due so they did do it within the service plan. So agree with you. Just thought I better put the record straight.

Sosen13, I see you're in Peterborough so we must use the same main dealer - Robinsons in Hampton. I've had five services done by them under the Service Plan and been reasonably happy. I've tried doing the cost calculations and come to the conclusion that I think it's the right decision. As well as the included Mobilo breakdown I'm also protected against inevitble price rises throughout the term of the Plan. That's why I've gone for the maximum length of Plan that I can get.

Hi @knighterrant
Yes, same dealer. I spent some time and calculated it all, and what would need to be done when, and for now choosen best option for me (not taken in place inflation and price change, but till now what I've heard prices gone done only, not up). Anyway it will be serviced in main dealer in Hampton, yes.
