HI - anybody on here bought from Mercland -I realise he's a member on this forum..

Reason is I fancy a look at one of his W203 estates but I'm up in N Scotland and dont want to drive all the way down there to find out he doesnt do Trade-ins.
I have dropped him a line but dont know when he'll get time to review and reply... any thoughts ??

He's a nice enough guy who i've had dealings with in the past and only sells decent motors, not your usual rubbish.

Best bet is to give him a call and get trade in prices first, as this is what usually offends people!

I've had my car serviced there and can recommend him. Like the others say, give him a call for hopefully a honest appraisal of the car and the trade in value. Good luck.

I have just bought a W210 E class from Jay after being unable to find a decent CL420. I have nothing but praise - a good car at a good price, and he has gone more than an extra mile in putting right small things that I have been fussy about. Check out some of his posts on this forum and you will find he has an enthusiast's attitude to most things, rather than a car dealer's. That counts for a lot. Can't comment on what sort of deal you might reach, but I would be pretty sure you will get a straight deal with no hidden nasties with any of his cars.

I sold my C43 to Jay, he offered me a fair and reasonable price when I was being offered silly money by non-specialist dealers who either didn't know what they were looking at (if it's not in Glass's, it doesn't exist, apparently) or were blatantly taking the p*ss.

From my experience, I'd be happy to buy a car from him. HTH.

    Cheers,

    Gaz
