Metal filler??

Was just wondering whether anyone knows if the metal filler available will be suitable for my polished lips on my alloys as one has a scuff?

Does the filler polish up the same as the metal, or is this only suitable for wheels being painted?

It doesn't polish up at all, it's matte grey.

Oh right, thats a shame!

Is there any filler i could use that is suitable or will it be a case of sanding it out as much as possible and re-laquering?

From what I understand the only way to do it properly is to weld in some new aluminium and then get to work with the grinder.

The welding is understandable if the scrap is deep and material has been removed.
