It was a good evening.

Myself, Corned, Bobby and Jay had a good chinwag about all the usual stuff and although it was a close call, we never got hold of a "Cheesy Bender". :D

Thanks guy's. :thumb:

Good to meet up with what is becoming the 'usual suspects'!

The weather was crap and dark, so only one photo:

:)

The roll call was:

1 x S210 (Ringway)
1 x C32 (Bobby)
1 x 190E Cosworth (Jay)
1 x S211 (me)

Good to see Jay's car doing its party-piece, and leaving in a very gruff growly manner! And - you heard it here first, folks - he's looking for ANOTHER car, apparently... Allegedly...

:D

'Till next time!

:dk: Shame on you, what about the flash!

Disapointed from Tumbridge Wells.

Sorry I never made it guys got delayed coming out of New York and did not get home until 10pm last night, Only just got up still totally bushed.

Glad you had a good night :thumb:

Great to see you all - another pleasant evening. :thumb:

I almost didn't make it either having a meeting in London overun, causing me to miss my train, etc.

I wonder what passer-bys think seeing a line of Mercs parke on a dark pub car park with the boots open and "stuff" being passed from one to another?

PS Found my phone :bannana:

PS I resisted the temptation to wait until the others left to get my hands one of those bad boy cheesey benders. ;)

Errr. Not quite as simple as jacket pocket. :o

When hunting for it I lifted my laptop and notepad out of my laptop bag to check if it had fallen to the bottom and it wasn't there. :dk:

Didn't think to look to see if it had started a new life as a bookmark!! :D

It was between the pages of my notepad!!

It's back, and I'm never going to let it go. In fact I might go get my special suede cloth and give it a little welcome home polish!!

Lol! I assumed you had tried the 'phoning it from your other phone' thing.

Guess that might have saved a little consternation?!! :)

I did. It was on silent (from meetings) and couldn't see the light as it was sandwiched between the pages of the my notepad!! :wallbash:

Phone saga continues...

I had a sneaky peek for a new phone on Saturday afternoon. Struggling to find anything which compares with my lovely Nokia 8800, but was starting to come to terms with having to compromise and get an iPhone 4.

Then on Saturday evening we had a takeaway. Rice was missing so I had to go collect another in a hurry, and it happened. I dropped the case (without realising) outside the village takeaway.

I realised when I got home, so I ate dinner as fast as I could, and shot back to the takeaway, hunting desparately in the dark.

I finally found the case, squished into the tarmac - grit embedded on one side and tyre marks on the other. Sniffle. :(

The case is very much part of the phone, as it comes with the phone - and is necessary because of the high shine metalic finish - so this is gutting. Even more so as Nokia don't actually sell the separately. I tried years ago.

It's like my phone was testing me following my recent lack of interest in it's well being having almost left it on the train, and more recently having my eye turned by other younger models.

Currently scouring ebay for a replacement. There are a few so hopefully one will be mine soon...

cant you just clean the case up?

Unfortunately it's shape is formed and it had been squashed. It was pitted heavily on the side that came in contact with the road.

I bought one last night - Buy-It-Now on ebay.

I clicked the button at 1720 last night, and it was on the door mat this morning. :thumb:

I'm smitten once more. I shall never ever look at an iPhone 4 again!!

In case you're curious what a Wimpy Chalet is, it's a teeny Wimpy in what's best described as a shed. You order at the shed window - you're outside, and the person taking your order is flipping the burgers on the other side of the window. Can you tell I like it??!!

It's the only place I know where it's completely normal to eat a cheesey bender on the common with plenty of sauce. :D

I took on two bad-boy benders on the common tonight.

I picked them up outside the shed where I always pick up benders, and then headed back to the car for the saucy action. It was just too cold to stay outdoors.

Tasty.

(It's a great place to go when it's snowing beautiful surroundings)
