Mileage

Older model i know, but my 2012 E63 has just cracked 120k miles & it still drives just as good as it did when i bought it 5 years ago.
Complete, full & detailed service history & condition is key in my eyes.
I'll be looking to change up to a W213 E63 wagon in 2024 and mileage won't necessarily be top of my list when i start looking.

I don’t think the M177 is known to be fragile or unreliable.

Some of them in the US are getting tracked with 90-100k miles on them.

40k miles is nothing to worry about, IMO.

Mileage isn’t just about the engine though :)
My thoughts too. When I see mileage figures I’m not thinking “engine” I’m thinking “seat bolsters”.

I would be more interested in condition and service history make sure all additional items were done on time as said above just because it state's FMBSH DOESN'T MEAN IT IS 😉

Mileage is almost irrelevant these days. Condition and history are more important. I have a couple of loan cars with 260k and 200k on them. I have owned a Viano with 450k on it and looked after one with 816k on it. They do the miles, no problem.
