I wouldnt mind fitting some of the mirror covers with lights that are available on E Bay at:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36682&item=7958643563&rd=1

The advert says 'simple electrical connection required' does anyone know 'how simple' it is to connect to the indicator circuit.

I can follow the 'how to' on taking the cover off no problem but where is the feed likely to be taken from? Side indicators?

Many thanks

I am keen to do this as well, my worry is taking the door inner off and doing something I shouldn't to the side airbag, would also be interested to hear from anyone who has done this work?

Taking the door panel off is easy, don't worry about the airbag.

You can tap the indicator wire in the cable tray at the sill, although I will be using the wire from the wing repeater for mine (then removing the repeater).

My SRS needed re-setting after taking the door panels off

You must have unplugged the airbag while the key was in the igntion or something then. If you don't unplug anything then it's fine.

i am currently spraying my mirror casings ready to go on. plan to do the wiring and a "how to" with pix for the forum at the same time....

Hi,

I have done this mod on an E class, the indicator wires are reasonable easy to find in the side trunking. The route through the door to the mirror is also quite straight forward. remember to also run a wire for the earth.

Go on do it..you know you want to.
