misfire in the morning e300td

i have a 1999 e300td and am having a few issues with a misfire and stalling

first start up is the worst and is accopanied by smoke

it looks like i get air in the fuel line

it will also misfire when it has been left for at least 10 mins, but not as bad as first thing in the morning and will also blow smoke untill the misfire has cleared

nose of the car is always facing down hill on the drive

once the car has been run for 5-10 mins its fine and smooth with no smoke at all

i am guessing its the air in the fuel as we have had new glow plugs and a service but is still the same regaurding the misfire

how do i tell if this is the fuel return pipe or either the fuel pipes or o rings

also what fuel pipes do i use i have a complete o-ring kit but can seem to find the precut fuel pipes or is it just a mercedes part or do you have to purchase the correct diameter pipe roll from anywhere

you probably need to replace the orings on the clear plastic pipes. the ones that run around the fuel filter.

also replace the fuel filter and clean out the pre-filter and intank strainer
