ML 350 (W166) so far

As long as you don't stick an AMG badge on the back we're all cushty!

Joking aside, you've done a great job there pal, for whatever reason the standard ML is quite anonymous and it takes something like that AMG kit to really brighten it up.

Lee, all my cars are debadged, even the 'real' AMG that you have a soft spot for! ;)
Badges on cars are a no no for me, especially when its not what the badge says!

Hi very nice car turned out great only wish I had done
something like that to mine

If you need any in depth info, feel free to ask or pm me :thumb:

Very nice build, but f me that must have cost you about 3-4k if not more man.

I guess because I bought the bits over a period of time I perhaps didn't notice it, as much as I did when I totalled it up! Hence I would have bowed out had I known, but it gets to the point of no return, so you just keep going! :D
The wk ha were probably one of the biggest expenditures.....circa £950 for the pair!!
Thanks for the comments.

Looks very nice indeed. I always preferred the shape of the W164, but yours looks great.

The alloys in particular really make it.

So long as you can put up with the hard ride, then why not?

Unfortunately, I'm too old to have my fillings rattled-out!

Your (wife's) car looks fantastic, well done. Nice shot with the CLS in the background too :thumb:

Thank you. The ride to be fair is not noticeably any different as the previous original wheels were 21" OEM AMG ones, however it is noticeable if you swicth on the lowering module and put it on its max setting :D

Whatever you fancy really, and why not?

I went from 19" down to 18" because the ride was so bad, and changed the tyres to 285/50X18 because........well, because I could.

Ride improved quite a bit and the turn-in and general handling was just as good if not better.

Didn't have the big-wheel looks (obviously), but I'm old, so that slews my priorities...

Which lowering module did you go for?

Also, is the chrome wrapped in black gloss vinyl? How is is fairing?

It's a Programma V2 with the remote, I am led to believe it's the same as the Renntech version without the inflated price tag?!
I have finally managed to get it working perfectly as it should (that's another story, I will update the original thread soon) and I must admit it does look good lowered but the ride can be a bit 'crashy' (if set too low), so it's not lowered much maintaining it balance between aesthetics and comfortability.

The chrome is indeed wrapped gloss black, has been done at least 18 months and is perfect. Had it professionally done even the chrome on the original bumpers and drls were wrapped.

Were you at Yorkshire Wildlife park in this today pal?

I wasn't pal. I am currently in the middle of the ocean in Ghana. It was at the stables all day, or at least that's what the boss is telling me :D

The reg is 6 ECA, unless it been cloned!

The reg was N20 NLA and I swear that when I say it was exactly the same as yours, I mean it had exactly the same wheels, all dechromed, quad exhausts etc

Should have taken a picture really but I'd just had the pleasure of walking miles around a park looking at some animals and was on the way out at the double!

Someone else with a great sense of style! :D

Talking of wheels I have a set of OEM ML63 wheels en route, matt black with polished lips ;)

A quick update on the change of wheels and we all know we love a pic whore ;)

So I bought a set of ML 63 OEM wheels, had them refurbished in matt black with a diamond turned lip..obv the boss was pleased to find them in her newly decorated dining room!
