Hi guys,

wondered if anyone may help... I have seen (but not yet driven) a 58reg ML320 with Brabus chip (though in one pic there is a unit in the engine labelled Brabus too, so not sure if it is just a chip or what!!??)

My question is, would an ML420 be quicker than this ML320? I know its a hard question as I havent described quite what teh Brabus thing is - but wondered if anyone could shed some light...?

Here is the car that I have seen - would appreciate any comments before I fully take the plunge... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/...500/keywords/ml320/sort/priceasc/colour/white

An ML320 Cdi with the Brabus D6 tuning kit increases power from 224 HP to 272bhp and toque to 590Nm.

The ML420 Cdi in standard form has 306 HP & 700 NM of torque. Brabus also do a tuning kit for the 420 Cdi engine which increases the power to 350 HP and torque to 800 NM.

I'd go for the ML420 Cdi because even in standard form it will still be more quicker than an ML320 Cdi with the Brabus chip ,although the 320 will be better on fuel.

+1

It should also be far simpler to insure the (unmodified) ML420 Cdi, even though it is more powerful

.
