Monster spec W211 Designo E320 CDI Estate

designo seat pattens for the 211 were not like that in the pics. designo piping is never that wide either

The piping/edging looks odd, but the seat pattern matches that shown for the E-Class in the March 2004 designo catalogue.

I expect that Designo would be able to cope with a request for piping.

Yep you would think with such a high specced car you would get the monitors sorted!

Not sure about MB, but I remember on a peugeot if it had the pressure monitors, the valves would need to be programmed once to the car. So after a tyre change, they would need to use the monitoring valve and all is ok. Is that the case with MB? Can't understand why you wouldn't tell the garage to fit the valve back on the tyre, unless the garage threw them out!

If it's High Line TPM, the correct wheel has to remain in the correct place, once removed for tyre change etc.

However, the sensors are c£100 each, so perhaps an owner decided not to replace them after a fault (it's an old car). There's a guy on the other side that took his out at tyre change and put standard valves, due to replacement cost.

I was lucky when I fitted my 19"s, as all mine transfered/checked out ok.

What would a standard model of one these cost now? Is there a lot a of difference spec looks awesome.

I costed my options after I bought the car and they added up to £16K .

He has stuff not fitted to mine, and I have stuff not fitted to his.

As mentioned elsewhere, I don't expect my options to add much, come sale time, but should make the car more desirable versus others.

(unless you've got optionaphobia, like *** ;)).

9-year-old E320 CDI estates seem to be on offer from around £4000 or so. Even generously allowing another £1000 for the relatively low mileage, it seems this seller is still hoping someone will be happy to pay £4000 over the odds for the options.

He says "also has tyre pressure monitoring but I did not replace the wheel sensors when I had the wheels updated so is not functioning".

When I bought my 300CE from its previous owner, he was awaiting delivery of his new 140 S class. He laughed when he considered he had spent more than double the £8k I paid for his car on extras for his new one!

Another one not sure about the piping authenticity.

Nice when it was new, but 10 years later the 'spec' becomes a load of useless crap to go wrong and cause irritating problems. Pass.

It would sell at £5500 - but you might find someone to pay more.
I always hunt out high spec cars, but I refuse to pay too far over the odds personally.

Well, the ad has gone so, presumably, it sold. Did anyone on here buy it?
