You possibly have a current drain. This needs to be checkd with an ammeter. Are you able to do this?

with the car locked and shut down?

You should have had no more than 0.06A

when i took the car to the garage and left it for 7/9 days the engineer said the same the ampmeter was showing 5 amp for the duration . the other thing i notice is that when this happens the esp starts to appear on the cluster a few days before

From previous threads I've read that current drains can come from stereos and interior/boot lights.

hi guys can y tell me how to use the ammeter so i can check myself and see if i can track the problem

had the boot light checked by engineer ok. how do i check the stereo i always turn it off manually before i leave the car

not the most technical solution.........but you could remove the stereo fuse and see if the problem persists.

any chance of knowing where stereo fuse is on the s class 320 cdi

Sorry, I've never owned an S-class.
Is it not given in your handbook or next to the fuse box?

ill check hand book, thanks for your help ill get back to u on how i got on

If you are getting 5A that is way too much.

this afternoon i took out the fuse for the stereo went back into car and put ignition on to check if stereo was turned off, does the whole unit turn off because the sat nav was off also the tv and the heater which meant i could not use heater is this what happens, and i could hear a clicking from the inside of the unit so i put the fuse back in, is it supposed to make that noise bitt confused please reply

thanks
