we charge £120 for a plug change on a V6... of that about £80-90 can be the plugs!

I cant see age as being detrimental to the plugs, or am I missing something here. the car has been 25k miles now

Also the big thing with spark plug change, is how much tuppaware you need to remove to get to the damn things

The Spitfire car was actually a Triumph. But no matter.

Just had a quote for an A Service on my C320 - £650.00 from my local MB dealer including a change of spark plugs @ their suggestion.

Dealer - A Service with a set of Spark Plugs sir - £650.00

Me - Hhmm seems a tad expensive

Dealer - It's the spark plugs sir, they're showing @ £300.00

Me - You are having a laugh, hang on is it April the 1st

Dealer - I'll recheck the price (me laughing in the background). No sir that is the right price, they are £300.00

Me - (Stunned) Bye Bye

Seems to me that you pay your money and take your choice but I hate to be ripped off and moreso by dealers who appear not to be the slightest bit interested in my custom from this and passed incidents.

A trip to the sea side sounds in order.
