MOT Nightmare!

I can’t drive it without MOT
There's 1000's doing exactly that on a daily basis. Pre book a MOT and driving to and from a test station is acceptable. Have someone with an obd2 scanner reset error codes and take it for test following a red line session somewhere dark to get the thing red hot and blow out some crap.

As above, possible the DPF has tripped the OBD limit due to cold starts and being shunted around their facility.

Italian tune-up required! Book an MOT somewhere, its perfectly legal to drive to a pre-booked MOT appoinment.

As long as the appointment is not in Glasgow and you live in London. Does not have to be the nearest MOT station and there is no legal maximum distance just that if your car has an obvious safety fault (not you case) you can still get done for it. So keep MOT relatively close but far enough to give the car a good kicking on the way there.

Absolutely.

The law makes no mention as to how far you can go for an MOT but we would suggest the distance is kept as short as possible because even though you are exempt from having a valid MOT certificate in the circumstances described above, if you are stopped by the police you could still be prosecuted for any defective parts on your vehicle e.g. exhaust, brakes and tyres etc. If you call in at shops etc. on your way to the MOT, it may be held that you are using the vehicle for other purposes and the above exemption won't apply. The further you travel the more likelihood there is of your vehicle triggering an ANPR camera and you being stopped.
