Moving from a W211 E55K to a W212 E63 Biturbo

Spent a little while deleting all the destinations saved on the Comand.
Very intuative menus and easy to understand. Phone paired, contacts downloaded, radio stations saved, now how I want it.

Uploaded this video today of a cold start with stock exhaust.
Someone asked me for a clip but can't remember who?:dk:
If the video plays without sound (like mine) and you are using Chrome, switch to another browser. I know it plays OK on MS Edge.
First ever upload so be kind if its pants. And excuse my ugly mug flitting by.:D

Rog you old pervert, what a lovely noise she makes when you press her button

Another couple of noticible differences between the cars.
I have just driven the E55 to the garage for the torque control arms to be replaced tomorrow, and the steering is far heavier than the E63. Probably the difference between the hydraulic and the electric steering on the later car. But its a big difference stepping from one to the other.
And the 55 seems a more "angry" car if that's the word. The torque from standstill is amazing and on a wet day like today , its still a handful with just a fraction too much right foot.
Although I am more than happy with the new car, part of me is really going to miss the E55.

I do love that familiar sound of turbos spooling on startup mixed with V8.

That's a hell of a car, Roger!

Look forward to having a proper look around it at the next BOTG. :thumb:

nice car Roger congratulations mate I hope you enjoy it as much as your last one.

Awesome motor - congrats! :D

FYI, works fine on my Chrome browser

Nice, Roger, looks better with the badge, by the way I was nosying at ya profile page, your on 6,666 likes, eek. :D

Fitted a new badge to the grille to replace the missing one.
Not so much missing, as never fitted Rog. ISTR the small ///AMG badge in the grill didn’t appear until some time during 2015 production.

While it looks better, I would caution that you can now spend many happy hours, as I did, removing lamb's wool strands caught on it after you wash the car. First World problems, eh? :D

Oh, Roger you've fitted an AMG badge that shouldn't be there  Mmmm let you off though.;):)

Glad to see your enjoying the new ride Roger :) they are lovely cars

I can't hear anything that sounds like turbo noise; just like mine, all you really hear at first is the 'Whumph' from the exhaust.

Has anyone connected the Ctek battery charger fly lead to the positive and negative posts in the engine bay?
Not sure how either will bolt on easily. I want a permanent easy connection to save messing with crocodile clups on the battery terminals should the battery need a boost in the winter.
Have I got to connect the lead directly to the battery ?

Here's what I have.
