Having finally had a chance to look around the new to us EClass I find that not only do we have the 6 CD Autochanger in the centre console but there is an Aux input in the glovebox that should, hopefully be connected to the NTG1 head unit.

In terms of adding music to the car I think the Aux in with an MP3 player is probably the way to go so I am happy to have recommendations from those of you that use them.

Storage sizes seem quite varied but I cannot see us using more than 16Gb, does the NTG1 cope with any size store and do the files have to be copied in a particular way to work with the car controls and display?

I was also thinking of getting another power supply /socket put in to the glove box switched from the ignition to keep the MP3 player powered so any recommendations for these (presumably MP3 need less than 12V?) also welcomed.

Thanks in advance :)

If by Aux you mean the 3.5mm jack, then you will not be able to skip and change tracks using the buttons on the COMAND.

Do you have a smart phone? This is probably the best method to do this. You can get something like an Anker BT adaptor which will allow wireless connectivity to your phone and connect to the 3.5mm jack. You can also skip tracks etc by pressing the buttons on the ANKER, and also accept and decline calls.

It’s only about £12

Thanks but it is not really the solution I wanted Abs.

My mistake in thinking the NTG1 would allow track selection from the steering wheel controls as I do not want extra things to press and have to interface with.
