Mpg

Hi All,

I'm a few weeks in with a 14 plate E250. I just wanted to check what I should be getting MPG wise.
Around town (lots of stop start) currently getting around 33 mpg if I leave it in Eco with stop start around 34.5mpg

On motorway run average around 48 MPG not unhappy with this just wanted to check if this is in the average.

Those figures are almost identical to what I get in my 62 plate E250 estate. Sometimes get 50 on my compute in to work but around town it's mid 30s. Mines not bluetec but I don't think that makes any difference to the economy.

This seems a little on the low side to me as I am getting that kind of mpg out of my
E350 a V6 3 litre (268) estate on a 2011 plate.
On a good run on a motorway 50 round town mid 30s

Just to be clear, I am supposing this is the E250 CGI (gasoline), as opposed to CDI (Diesel)?

It's diesel I noticed I'd been driving around with the A/C on so turned that off and around town went to 36mpg

We have a W204 250 CDI manual test hack at work. I've driven it a lot. Typically, I get over 50 mpg on a tank full round trip of motorway & mixed (recorded on trip meter and verified by calculation). Don't know how I could get it down in the 30s.
We had a couple of autos three or four years back and got similar, IIRC.

I always leave the climate control on auto. It seems to make little or no difference.

For comparision, my own C320 CDI (auto) makes 39 mpg on a tank full but that takes a hit to mid 30s with too many short journeys and sitting in traffic.

Hi Guys,
I drive a 2015 C220 CDI BLUETEC ESTATE AMG LINE
on a 20 mile run to work (town driving) in ECO mode i get 51mpg
and on long motorway drives i get 61mpg in ECO mode
780 miles to a full tank on average. not too bad i think

on a good blast in S mode i get 44mpg !
