I would just like to let the forum know about the excellent customer service @ MSL Performance.

About 4 weeks ago I went to MSL for a remap of my 2012 C63. After the first run we realised that it had already been remapped, albeit a crap map. So I asked Acid to go ahead and work his magic.

At this point it became apparent there was a password on the installed map which had also been written onto the wrong original Merc software by the previous tuner (or something like that, its a bit above my head).

Long story short, when Acid tried to access the ECU it became corrupt (not his fault).

Out of his own pocket he paid for a new ECU, spent an entire day and evening locating the original software for my car utilising colleagues on two continents. Gave me a courtesy car and personally delivered my car back to me in Leeds with 530bhp and more torque than a Humvee.

Thanks Acid, top bloke.

now thats impressive to say the least and truly refressing in todays age of rip off and scarper and shoddy workmanship

I knew Acid was going to sort you out. I take you went for the Vito lift rather than the smart car.

Anyway glad it was sorted and your happy.

Chap with the black E55

Yup top class service from Acid once again.

That is impressive. Well done Acid

Obviously they know their stuff and the customer service reads as second to none and I will be paying them a visit at some point / when i get bored with its standard performance, but it does seem strange to me that their website is so poor? Anyone looking at purchasing the best they can get for their pride and joy and having not come across them on such a forum, would likely pass them by

MSL are more about cars than websites unfortunately. They are also on Instagram and Facebook, but don't update too often due to the volume of work they have on at the moment.

When ever I go they are always rammed with business and constant walk ins. Can't see the website or lack of is hurting them.

Yes, some places don't need to advertise at all really - and MSL is one of them...

I know what you mean guys and word of mouth is the best advert for any business. But a website is your brochure to the world and theres gives zilch info on any products or services! I like to research and lets face it, this forum is a place of research. We all came here and lurked in the background a short while to learn about our motors before asking the questions the manual doesn't provide answers for. Im not slagging them guys, just sayin

Tbh imo a lot of businesses that are good at what they do, spend more time doing that than perfecting their website another example is CPC Phil is the man to go to for anything relating to the E39 M5 yet his website is soo simple.

I also know of some other really busy places who don't even have a website. I would rather go to someone who's good at the job rather than someone who spends most of their time making a fantastic website.

Also we(enthusiasts) like to do our research at the same time it's sometimes better to pick up the phone and speak to someone in the know, instead of banging your head of a wall trying to find something.

What about those remap companies that have excellent well informed websites that do a fantastic job on your motor?....like i used!....and it wasn`t expensive!

What about those remap companies that have glossy, flash well informed websites that say they will do a fantastic job on your motor?.... Like I used!........ And it wasn't expensive until my engine decided con rods 1, 2 & 4 should be bent and number 3 was simply ejected through the block!

I would rather deal with a well rated company by word of mouth, rather than rely on a nice looking website.

.....and if your word of mouth is limited?......

I would rather deal with a company that has at least 22years of engine experience that does:

Car Tuning...Van Tuning...4x4 Tuning...Commercial Vehicles...
Agricultural Vehicles...Track / Race Cars and Marine Engines....like i used...
which goes like a dream....still in one piece with performance and economy which is recommended on this site by a couple of traders including one that this actual thread is about and do have a Superb informative Website.

The cheapjack Website i would beware of as they usually have no proffessional back up.
