My 220 ML 270 cdi has a lumpy idle

Hi can anyone help..my ml270 sometimes idles on 4 cylinders then goes on to 5. sometimes i go to pull away an its on 4 then goes to 5. no warning lights have come on..always starts well hot or ice cold.

hope someone can point me in he right direction.

Could be many reasons, you will need to get the stored fault codes read off, either at a MB dealership or an independent MB specialist.
