I'm on my third Nokia handset in as many weeks and I can't get it connect to the Bluetooth in my 2005 S211.

Unlike the previous two Nokias (a 6300 I think and a 6200??) the 6303i Classic doesn't want to connect

Instead of finding the "MB Phone System" it finds "UHI-SN4752". It then prompts me for a password and I enter 62872 (the password supplied with the MB Bluetooth connector thingy) and it doesn't accept it.

The 6303i runs Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. I assume there's a compatibility issue somewhere.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

When pairing with the "UHI-SN4752", you should start pairing from your head unit I believe and you would enter the same code (anything you select) at both sides. But this would not provide BT hands free.

I guess you did set the BT adapter for pairing, press the button for 3 seconds? At this point the phone should find the "MB Bluetooth" thing. Odd if it doesn't.

Hmmm. There are potentially a few issues here.

What BT puck do you have installed in the armrest? Dedicated Nokia, HFP or SAP?

Then we can go from there!

For info, the 'UMI-SN4752' is the COMAND BT itself, which is perhaps best described as a discrete channel for headsets (so you don't push the conversation out through the speakers for all occupants to hear). You cannot pair the phone handset directly with this.

Aha! Good question - I DID do this for the first Nokia.

I didn't for the second (as it just detected "MB Phone system" without my needing to go through that process).

I'll try when I get home - thanks

Cool - thanks for that - I suspect the problem may be as Diesel Benz suggested - as I didn't push the button on the MB bluetooth adaptor ir may not have identified itself to the phone - will try when I get back home.

Pushed the button for 3 secs - it worked - thanks!!
