I am keen to get back into an AMG after parting ways with my excellent, but soulless BMW M6 Gran Coupe. I am considering a few different models but am leaning towards an M157 based car, it must have <30K miles and be in great condition. If you have any of the following or know of one for sale then let me know.
  • CL63, 2011 onwards with the M157, Performance Pack preferred.
  • SL63, 2008-2011 with the M156, unfortunately I can't get past the looks of the later models with the M157.
  • CLS63, post 2015 facelift, Shooting Brake preferred.
  • E63 Estate S212 post 2012.

There’s not a bad car in that list. In fact there’s not even a pretty good car either. Good luck with the search 👍🏻

Thanks Bobby, I am looking forward to finding a real beauty.

I have an 09 SL63 and had it the last 7yrs and love it. Absolute animal when you want it to be and relaxed cruiser when not. Lovely place to be and so comfortable. Parts can be expensive and you need to keep up on the maintenance but they were very expensive new. Good luck with the search

Thanks c63chris, they seem to be few and far between but hopefully a few more will start to trickle on to the market now that the new year is upon us. I have to admit that the ABC reliability issues do worry me slightly, but this is why I am on the hunt for a low mileage, well maintained example.
In your opinion are there any must-have options I should look out for? The panoramic roof looks like a must.

Options for me were: Pan Roof, keyless entry/go, hill start hold, cruise control with distance control, reversing camera (360 would be nice) If you see a car you like, then with the VIN you can get a pdf of the build spec that lists all the options.
Don't get too hung up on the low mileage thing, I would rather a car with regular use and a bundle of receipts than a garage queen that's only doing sub 2k a year and spending months on a trickle charger in a garage.

All very good points Charliecloud. The Distronic cruise control really appeals to me, my M6 was a really high spec car but didn't have it(I don't think any BMW do).

Distronic is one of my favourite bits of kit. Makes journeys very relaxing and keeps the speeding tickets at bay.

Saw this advert, low miles and only 3 owners, not sure if it is of any interest. 🤔

^ Very well priced for the mileage. Pity the alloys have been ruined with the refurb. They just don't look right once the silver lip has been removed. Doesn't look highly optioned (no 360camera, dynamic hot and cold seats etc from what I can see in pics) and the all black interior isn't to my taste. But someone will get a great car at a good price.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I really like the colour, a shame it doesn’t have the dynamic seats though.

I am going to see this one next week, once it is back from having it’s wheels fixed.
CL Class CL 63 AMG Coupé
It looks like a stunner but I am still undecided on the colour.

Very nice....especially the mileage. Such a pity ( to me at least) that it has the boring (as in every other Merc seems to have it) silver/black colour scheme. Price is good for the miles.......but they are coming down and its still high compared to pre pandemic levels....it cant last.

When you begin to see more and more, it becomes even harder and harder. Some cars are in great condition but your then greeted by not so nice dealers. I've walked away from plenty.

Do take you time if you can. Is there any particular colour your after? What would be your top dollar and mileage?

How about this? I test drove this, back in October'22 at their Wolverhampton Branch when it was priced at £32k. It hasn't sold.

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately I am not fond of white cars. There was a lovely CL63 with 13k miles and a great spec at MB Exeter for £39,000, but it was white.
I am sure i will be able to get exactly what I am after for £40k, but it might take some time.
