Nankang tyres- issue

I think (not knowing the law) your issue is back to the person you bought them from, he backs them to who he gets them from to get them tested, and money back or proportion of it. I would be jumping up and down if they were mine, if you are too nice they take you as a mug, and sell you another couple of tyres and THEY are happy, what about if you did not see this and you had an accident, the first thing the insurance company does is check the tyres. They will not pay out for you driving on dodgy tyres !! I have stopped people around where i live early in the morning checking tyres when i have asked them what they are doing they say they are from the car insurance company ! Brakes and tyres keep you alive, get the best you can. Jesus i would be on News at Ten with them.

Thanks Merc estate.. I think your 100% right.. I have had no response from Nankang direct even after phone calls and emails. Which I guess I kind of expected. So I'll go to the original tyre fitted and see what pans out from there.

Cheers for the reply 👍

Well, you could argue that the 'budget' engine was used only in their 'budget' model range (A-Class/B-Class)....

you could. on the other scale, a bit like the "premium" Mercedes X class pick up truck that's not really a Nissan/Renault Nivara ;)

Anyone with opinions on Falken?

Where these the correct load rating? I’ve seen this happen in Audi rs models when they have had the incorrect load rating fitted and it almost peels the rubber off .
I’m not saying you don’t know but a lot of people don’t understand how important it is to get the correct rating
