Hello All

I'm desperately trying to find a Throttle Body for my 1994 C280 (straight 6 with cruise). The original one cannot be repaired. I have been searching for hours but have had no luck.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated

Part No 0001415725

I did cross my mind to buy a donor but I don't have room for a 2nd car

Many thanks

As a Merc part number it will have an "A" prefix - about £1,200 new with best discount (£1,566 list).

Should be listed as a "CCA" as in Cruise Control Actuator or sometimes "Slide".

Might be worth searching using those terms in case they are listed that way?

Presumably, with this part fitted, your car has cruise control but not ASR?

Might be worth running the VIN past the dealer as the CCA was updated several times and other part number(s) might be shown superceding or being superceded and therefore eligible to fit your car?

Yes the car does have cruise and no asr

Have you tried posting a "wanted" on partsreunited and autopartsfinder?

Also try Starpartz....they always have a few actuators - usually £300-500.

Either way I would definitely visit the dealer parts desk first and see what "chain" of superceded parts exists as you should be able to use any of them.
(don't try by phone as they seem to want to "hide" part numbers these days and just quote a price).

Thanks for the response. I have a purchased the part. Fingers crossed! I have visited a few scrapers today looking for one! It's so sad to see nice mercs go to scrap. i just witnessed a 45,000 mile S class being stripped, simply because nobody wanted it!

But the plus side is that because those cars are being stripped, your car is kept on the road by using their parts :thumb:
