Need to replace screen rubber retainer - A124 E Cab '95...

Folks

I decided to use a dull day to strip and lube the wiper box mechanism, which appeared a little notchy.

The first part of the extensive dismantling process is to remove the lower rubber sealing trim from below the windscreen.

Bugger - a large chunk of the alloy retainer crumbled and pulled away with the rubber trim :

A quick look on the Russian fiche has left me non the wiser.

What do I need to order - can I get this from an MB agent, or a windscreen specialist ?

Think you will find that is attached to the windscreen and not a seperate part and being brittle with age

The part number is A124 671 00 93

...I tried ordering this bit myself, I had to put a ? against it on my long list when recently ordering seals for my coupe.

Perhaps clive is right it may come as part of the window fixings when it gets replaced?
