I finaly know what is fitted on a side of my dash: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/electronics/95071-what-phone-cradle.html

And on top of that I have factory fitted Nokia 3110 Kit fitted in my armrest. That kit works just fine but its obviously old phone.

I really would like to update to kit that will work with range of phone so bluetooth is the only option. I love sterring wheel controls and I would like to keep them with operation on my phone. I went thru so many phone threads and Im still green. Seriosly got problems to decide where to go with this.

I know there is option for Viseeo but... :wallbash: How, where, when and others??? I really need help.

Viseeoo is one very good solution.

Contact Alfie or Richard at Comand.co.uk for others. They advise, supply and fit or if you prefer just supply.

But do I have to change anything or is it just a Viseeo adapter?

I have a w210 with the Nokia 3110 cradle. From the research I have done the Viseeo route is the cheapest and best, but you will need to change the contoller and the cradle to a later Nokia model. The wiring is the same unless you want to go for the even later UHI(??) spec. which would involve much more work and cost. I have yet to find out how much the cheaper route would cost though.
A good source of technical info on this (including part numbers required) can be found at MBguru.com

With eBay parts this is probably the cheapest option although the ViseeO adapter itself may not be that cheap.

Aren't there after market devices that attach to the fibre ring instead of the original phone controller and have integrated BT support? At least for the MOST fibre these exist but I thought these were available for D2B a long time before MOST versions appeared.

This way one would need to buy a single control unit, no cradle or BT adapter separately and the approach would look like the OEM phone kit as seen from the car.

Can someone pinpoint kits/part I would have to use to swap it? I seriously dont know whats parts are needed.

What do you guys mean by fibre ring? :wallbash:

If I decide to go Viseeo adapter, is it only to get a cradle for that?

You have a bury car kit installed as well. Have you checked the 3110 kit is even still working or even connected? On your other post a member has already pointed out you can change the bury cradle for one for a newer phone.

I know 3110 works I as I able to call number of the phone in my car and it sounded very well. I dont know about bury but I think i runs on seperate system and separate speaker for that.

I went outside to take it apart to see what I have on this kit. This what I found:

Where do I go with this next?

Actually, bluetooth phone is not supported on the Dension D2B systems (it is on the newer MOST systems). And as the D2B chips are now in very short supply I doubt there is any development on D2B going on.

What i'd do is swop your control unit and the cradle for a 6210i or a 6310i one and then put a Viseeo in. The wiring is the same for the 3110i system and the later 6210i/6310i systems. The "newer" UHI system with exchangeable cradles is different wiring.

Tell me what do I need? What kit and how much do I have find in my pocket? How complicated is that swap?

That was good to know. I just browsed through the user manual from the link at the D2B device web page and it did mention BT HF support. I guess they've made a mistake.

Do you mean there are no other products either if Dension does not support BT HF? I thought there were several and W211 owners had to wait for MOST products while D2B devices existed. Development would neither be needed for an old car, "just" continued production of an old device but perhaps the market has gone down too much and product availability accordingly.

Hi,

We can no longer get the Dension GW500 D2B - the UK arm of Dension say it is not available and only the GW500 Lite is available. That doesn't have the connector for the BT adapter. I also was told by the Dension distributor we buy from that the BT adapter never worked on the GW500 D2B - which would make sense technically because on D2B one device can't appear as multiple "services" like MOST can (so one physical MOST device can appear as a CD changer *and* a phone system at the same time).

I don't know if the Argos D2B phone kit is still available, comand online sells a kit of genuine Mercedes parts to install UHI.

But, the original poster has wiring in his car already, so quite easy to change that ..

You need to replace the control unit (in the boot behind left hand carpet I think) and plug in a new cradle (and you have already found the connectors)

PM me I think I have the controller you need (6210i version) and possibly a suitable cradle that I took out of my ML when it was new some years ago

Which Viseeo unit will I need with this conversion? How does it connect to cradle? Is it thru bottom plug?

All this info is on the forum and mercupgrades.com or easily found on google, try using the search. The only Viseeo unit you can use with the 6210 cradle is the MBU1000.

MBU1000, it is physically same size as 6310i and plugs into the cradle as if it was a 6210i/6310i

After all Nokia 3110 has the same connection as 6210i so is it possible to use this Viseeo with old 3110 cradle? Im not bothered if it sits properly - after all it will be inside armrest. Is it possbile to do that?
