All you guys who's got a power rear blind installed in your cars.
I mean all models C-E-CLS-S-Class covered.
Can you please help me out?
I got my power rear blind installed recently by my MB factory trained MB guy.
Took him approx 6.5 hrs. to complete the work, most of the time was to remove the old parcel shelf and headrests and to tear that bloody new parcel shelf new a-sholes for speakers and rear seat latches and 3rd brakelight.
After he installed everything he then tested the powerblind to see if everything is aligned properly.
Looking from the outside, he told me that on the left side (drivers side) mesh is fully extracted and tight however on passengers side (right side) mesh is sagging and hanging a bit, you can see it on the attached picture. he tride to adjust the bolts from the trunk to pull the powerblind rail backward but it was to the end and could'nt be moved backwards anymore.
He told can't be done better this is the way it looks like, one side is hanging a bit loose.
We went outside and looked on 2 other customer cars a w210 E-class and a w220 S-class, we extracted the power blinds on both cars, mesh on the w220 S-class was hanging loose on both sides, the other car w210 mesh on drivers side was extracted correct being tight and the passengers side was sagging a bit.
Why is this happening mesh doesn't extract tight on both sides when it's folded out?
Can you please check on your cars (all MB's with power rear blinds) from the outside how your mesh looks like?
Wanna know if this is normal on w202 C-class?
Thanks for your help
He also told me the white plastic part hinge or bracket inside the lining for folding rear headrest was broken??
When I pressed the button to drop my headrests only left side fell down and the other side stayed in position couldn't take it down, when I did it manually the head rest got stuck in leaning backwards position, my mechanic told my I have to buy a new plastic hinge for right side, can this be bought separately from the stealer, is it expensive?
