Well it has finally arrived. Lovely red beasty, goes a bit too - given the chance... But I'll just have to wait until it's run in properly, although the 'drive it like you have just stolen it' school of though has it's attractions...

I asked at the dealership, MB Croydon, about cleaning and valetting and they only give their cars a quick going over after some work has been done, no dedicated valleting.

There 'are' a number of mobile valetters here in SE London, I have chatted to one in Bromley (ish) who sounds fairly sensible and is well recommended on local websites. Basically a (signwritten) van and a man. He spoke about a good wash, a bit of a clay and then two coats of wax for £90.

Another site with a fancier image and expensive web design wanted £300 for the same sort of service, so...

Now all I have to do is work out what all these new buttons do, while I wait for the blasted rain to stop.

Thanks for your help and encouragement, I rather suspect I will be back soon enough with more 'silly' questions. Really must sit down now and RTFM.

Just remember that as soon as you use a tar remover (worth it's name) it doesn't matter if he applies 10 coates of wax on your car it will most lightly be gone. Did you ask him how come he need to apply 2 coats of wax? Normally if you use a high quality wax this shouldn't be necessary to do.

i took delivery of my B200 CDI on 30th March, and have covered about 1500 miles now. Running in wise, I followed the manual in the maintenance and care section at the back and alongside that, i have not used cruise control until after 1500 miles. The service manual states 1500km, however i followed that for 1500 miles.

with regards to paint care, I coated the car with g-techniq products including C1 for the bodywork which will keep the silver paintwork in good shape for a year or so...

Hi iam also getting 2012/12 B200 CDI Sport Auto in Oct 10th... i hope lol...

Can you tell me how it drives please...Also getting on DLA aswell M8...
