new C32 amg forum member

Hello everyone.

I have rescently purchased a c32 with 75k miles off a member on this forum. Fantastic car even with its minor rust issues im a smart repairer so i will address the smaller patches through out the year.

I have fitted some E55 AMG airboxs today. Not sure if im happy with it.. doesnt fit properly i couldnt poke.one of the intakes through so hacked the end off and looks nasty so i will buy a new one and try again.. Or come up with a better solution. Car feels faster. Sound not really changed maybe slightly deeper. If anyone has any better ideas for the intake pipe issue im all ears. It a very tight fit
Maybe too tight as it touching the bulkhead a bit. Over all unsure if ill keep it on there...

Welcome to the forum!!! That looks about right for the 55 intake, it will rub on the brackets on the firewall, and also won't sit particularly nicely on the coil packs! I've gone back to standard as I was getting an over boost fault code (despite being mapped for the intakes) but still getting the code so could be a map sensor or throttle body issue! To be perfectly honest, mines been a headache since I've modified it!!! But I could be the unlucky one! Mine also lost power with the 55 intake!
