Its definately been detuned in some way and I am guessing the layout of the exhaust system probably has some effect as well.

can i just ask. All the mercs with 5.5V8 ENGINES e.g the s500 and the gl500 but with 2 exhaust pipes, can you stick the exhaust four pots system from a amg 5.5 v8 to it, and will it work?

Unable to give a definitive answer, but I wouldn't be surprised if it necessitates changing the spare wheel tub.

The lads in Bottrop now have a tuning package to take the AMG 63 engine to 550hp and 650Nm - not too shabby for normally aspirated
