Thought I would ask the panel this one. JSWMBO wants a new car either on pcp or private lease. She is 23 very independent and 2 years out of university building her career so doesn't want anything that's going to kill her financially so looking max £150 a month

Anyone know any good deals out there?

All advice and input welcomed

TIA

Peugeot 208. Nice little car...sweet 3 cyl engine. My eldest just handed hers back after nearly 3 years (because she couldn't afford to bring it to Oz with her).

SWMBO has a Fiat Panda Easy, brand new straight out of the box, central locking, leccie front windows but not much else, 100 English Pounds a month.

Or wait for a bit and check out the new Ford Ka, its out soon and nearly Fiesta size.

If she doesn't mind a Citroen C1, this is a bargain

I had to borrow one of these late last year.

I don't care what loan cars are - as long as they get me around.

However, my expectations weren't high but I have to say, I was very impressed on a number of factors about the car.

It was a manual NA 3 cylinder 1.0 I think.

Not only did it go really quite well, it also had enough room for me up front and I didn't have to remove the front seat so I could sit on the back one.

Also quite impressive is the fuel economy. I think it used a handful of crap from the bottom of a drawer.

Most impressed.

I've had Fiat Pandas on rental a few times recently. Compared to the original, they have really grown up. A very nice gearbox, comfortable driving position and a willing engine.

A Kia Sportage is another car that is so much better than the previous incarnations. (£156.99 inc vat from lease4less)

A few "left field" suggestions...
Mazda2? Honda Civic? Skoda Citigo? Renault Captur? DS3?

If it was my choice, I'd go for the Kia Sportage.

That's a good call will investigate further

Just had a look at that but its diesel only and she wants petrol should have mentioned that sorry

Seriously considered the Sportage - daughter has one, but while beautifully built and reasonably good looking, it was dull as ditchwater to drive (unlike the picanto). That's why I went for the Jeep Renegade (made by Fiat).
A real fun car to drive, (1.4 turbo), not too big, and some good deals.
Mine has been utterly reliable with no niggles whatsoever - really pleased we went for it. Lots of toys in the 'Limited' model too.

Fiat 500 Twinair.... very nippy, my daughter is on her second.

Looks like the winner might be a VW Polo 1.2 turbo petrol in Match trim. Just finalising the deal but already feel like I've stolen it as it came in well under budget for a quality engineered car. Even SWMBO is now starting to sway towards VW :-)

Instead of the S63 she was considering last week?

No I mean she is starting to like the VW Brand when I got my Golf she thought I was mental not getting an AMG now JSWMBO looks like getting a VW they suddenly become acceptable :-)

SWMBO set on going back to a big V8 she really misses the Audi A8 she had.

You could always let her have a drive of your Audi R8 now and then.

VW UP?

Kia Picanto?

Might be a bit pricey, but they have loads of other deals on other cars

1.0l fiesta zetec nav for £125pcm

That's a proper little car at next to no money:thumb:
The engine is a little jewel:cool:
