Cheers guys
I'm already quite busy planning out the little bits and pieces, prioritising stuff etc. It's a nice enough car as it is, but I'm hoping to make it even better. It might take me a while to get it perfect, but I like having potential in a car, it's a good feeling as it improves.
Pictures soon-ish when I have time

Oh no!! I have competition! for having the most perfect W208 CLK55 You have a superb car there. Pete and I bought around the same time (in fact he was very interested in my car but I nabbed it from under his nose, I don't think he was to annoyed though as he found your car the week after)
Mine was advertised as virtually perfect but I am am a perfectionist and the sellers view of perfect and mine were slight different
So far mines had the following.......
1) All four alloys refurbished (lacquer flaking)
2) New Windscreen (3 Chips one of which turn to a crack in the snow)
3) Climate Control switch repaired (Driver Auto did not work)
4) 2 air vents repaired (Linkage had fallen off inside)
5) Speedo bulbs replaced (both had blown)
6) Drivers rear arch rust repaired (MB under goodwill warranty)
7) AMG front bumper repaired (cracked underneath)
8) 1 Avantgard wing badge replaced (water penetration)
9) Bonnet, front wings, bumper all resprayed to remove all stone chips
10) Oh and the sunroof reset - though not sure holding the button for 20secs counts as a repair
plus 8 Litres of Fuch Motorsport (even though the car had just been serviced, but I like to be sure what's in it)
Just waiting for a the Nappa to be re coloured and cracks filled on the drivers bolster and she will basically look as new inside and out.
To be fair it sounds a lot but the car was very very good to start. Great history, lots of receipts, perfect tyres, unused spare and first aid kit, excellent interior and runs a dream.
I will put up some pictures as soon as I am sure she is one of the best W208 AMG's in the country.
